The Lenovo T460s is a low cost business laptop that costs around $1,000. The T460s model is the slim version of its older T460 counterpart. The laptop has a tapered design that gives it a more modern feel. The left side of the laptop is sporting the power connector, one USB 3.0 port, one headphone jack, and an SD card reader. On the right side of the laptop it has a smart card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, mini-Displayport, HDMI port, Ethernet jack, a sim card slot, and a kensington lock slot. The laptop is not user friendly for servicing the laptop requiring removal of five screws to remove the bottom cover. Continue reading Lenovo T460s Review
The HP EliteBook 840 G2 is a great business laptop that should meet the needs of most office users. It has a decent keyboard, not Lenovo quality but good enough. The fingerprint reader actually works pretty well compared to laptops I’ve used in the past. The 14″ screen is a perfect size at 1600×900 resolution to do work on it such as using Outlook full email client, Excel, Word, and general web browsing however I did wish the screen was a little brighter. The screen does suffer however from having bad viewing angles if you are off to the side of the screen and not looking at it directly. The top cover is a fingerprint magnet unfortunately, but on the other hand it provides good grip. The laptop is very user serviceable as the bottom cover easily slides off after unlocking and then pressing a button to slide the cover out. Continue reading HP EliteBook 840 G2 Review
Your computer is only as fast as its slowest component, and in most cases the slowest component is the hard drive. The Samsung 950 Pro M.2 NVMe is one of the fastest solid state drives you can buy on the market. Installing an NVMe drive such as this one can supercharge your computer and will make boot times and application launch times very fast. It will also help with data transfer speeds if you have the need to transfer large files often. If you are looking into buying a new drive, especially if it will be your boot drive where your operating system sits you should definitely look into purchase an M.2 NVMe drive if your motherboard supports it as these are the fastest drives currently available.
UPDATE: Those looking to purchase an M.2 NVMe drive should consider buying the Samsung 960 Evo drive as it gives you the best bang for your buck in terms of performance/cost.
